Tracie, Thank you for your response. I don't know where in Tennessee he was born. There were other people named Lucas living in that area of Freestone County who came from Lauderdale County, Alabama. The other Lucas families were in Freestone County by 1880, which is 6 years before Anders was born. If they are related - and they most likely are - then I would suppose that they were in one of the Tennessee counties that border the northern Alabama line just above Lauderdale.
