MANNAHAN DIES SUDDENLY W. E. MANNAHAN, 72, old time resident of Freestone County, living five miles Northwest of Fairfield, died suddenly Tuesday of heart trouble at Teague where he was carried some three weels ago for treatment. Burial was in the Stewards Mill Cemetery the following day. Services were conducted by Eld. H. L. MCKISSICK, assisted by Rev. E. Homer TIREY. A large number of friends were present from Fairfield, Teague, Mexia, Kirven, and other places. Decease is survived by twelve children. Namely: Mrs. Cliff WHITTACKER and Mrs. Marvin WATSON of Stewards Mill, Mrs. W. D. PITTMAN of Mexia, Mrs. Robert PITTMAN, Mrs. Roy KELLEY, Miss Clara Bess MANNAHAN, John Terry, Sam Sneed and Charles of this community, and Edward MANNAHAN of Teague. Mr. MANNAHAN was a good citizen and a good man in every respect and during the 30 years of our acquaintance with him we never heard any person say only words of praise and commendation of him and the true test of any man is the esteem in which he is held by those who knew him.
