Catherine, Thank you so much for posting the Freestone Co. obituaries. Even if I don't know the family involved, I enjoy reading about the "happenings" in the county. These will be a valuable resource in the mailing list archives. I noticed how many of the funerals were held by Elder H. L. McKissick. Bro. McKissick was for many years (32), the pastor of Eight Avenue Baptist Church were my Mother and numerous other relatives attended. You would never find a finer man of God than Bro. McKissick. I have a book that was written by Emma Emmons in 1980 about the life and ministry of Bro. McKissick. It lists some 1244 funerals performed by Bro. McKissick and 387 marriages. Sandy Sharp
