Mike. This is David Strickland. We communicated about Echols and Mathews some time ago thru my work email address. I was laid off 15 August so that address doens't work any more. Got your request at this address. Just haven't had time to respond. Looking for work is a full time job! Do you have the 1978 Freestone County History? There is a short article on John D Mathews I could scan for you if you don't have it. Will get around to checking my other Mathews data hopefully this weekend. ----- Original Message Follows ----- > I found the birth of a child in Hill Co., TX for Joe Gibbs > Mathews (1889-1973) and Adie Mathews (1914-1984); it > gives her maiden name as Mathews. I found the birth of a child in Hill Co., TX for Joe Gibbs Mathews (1889-1973) and Adie Mathews (1914-1984); it gives her maiden name as Mathews. I'd like to know her parents. Fannie M. Renfro (1917-1976) buried in Stewards Mill Cemetery. I think she was a Mathews. Any help on husband/parents appreciated. Thanks! Mike Bonner
Is there anyone willing to do an obit lookup for the following? Ann Sellers (1839 - 1923) buried in Stewards Mill Cemetery. I'm interested in any/all information. Thanks! Mike Bonner
There are no Worthingtons in Betty Morrow's 13 volumes of Freestone County Cemetery records. There are a few Solomons, primarily in black cemeteries, but no david died 1876. Too many Moore families to check. There are MANY unmarked graves at Antioch - Luna Cemetery including one of my great aunts who died in 1902. Luna os not too far from Teague. Sorry for the bad news. David

Ward Solomon Worthington (1810-1886) David Ward Solomon (1834-1876) Mary Ann Solomon Moore (1840-1895) Elizabeth reportedly died "near Teague, Texas" in 1886. She first married a Solomon, but later married a Worthington. I'm not certain if her name would have been "Solomon" or "Worthington" on the tombstone. Thanks.
