I know that Sue Jones lived in Rosebud, TX. and ran the Tasty Mart Cafe before she became to ill to do so. She died a few years ago. Sue's husband Carl Jones still lives in Rosebud as far as I know. She has a son Carl Jones, Jr. who lives in Lott Texas I believe. They might have some information for you. I too am related to Casey's and wondered if my family might be related to the Walter H. Casey family. My g grandfather was Rufus Martin Casey. Two of his brothers were Issac N. Casey and Thomas Calvin Casey. He had other siblings but I would have to look them up in my paperwork. If you run accross a connection, please let me know. Thanks Sharon

Cornwell, who died on the 24th inst. of a severe attack of fever after an illness of 16 days. The deceased was a native of Pickens County, South Carolina and came to this county with his parents when a boy in 1866. They lived many years in and near Butler and by his good, straight forward conduct had made many friends. His mother who lived at Sweetwater, Nolan county, with two married daughters was telegraphed for to see him, but did not arrive until the day after he died. His remains were interred in the Mayes burying ground near Butler. *** Note: I did not find Charles E. Cornwell listed in Mayes Cem. in Freestone Co. History Book II.

I know her name was Lucretia and she had previously been married to Lewis G. Stillwell and had two children by him. Lucretia's father was born in Italy and Lucretia was born in Texas. Josiah and Lucretia had Thomas Rust Ivy who married Ella Maude Evans. Ella Maude Evans was the daughter of William Henry Evans and I believe Mattie Winters. Mattie Winters father was a doctor I was told by a family member. Joseph Ivy was born in GA and William Henry Evans was born in AL. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Surnames: Martin, Baggett, Phillips, Rainer, Raines Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AiB.2ACE/1051.1.1 Message Board Post: To James Richardson......thank you for the response to my posting regarding Old Zion Cemetery in Freestone Co. The Martin graves are some of my relatives but I do not have a whole lot of info on them. The head of this family was William Erving Martin, born l8l8 in Georgia. His wife, Nancy, born l8l9 in buried with him. I do not have her maiden name. The children buried there are Robert T.Y.Martin born in l850 and W. M. (probably William) Martin born in l847. There are two infants in the cemetery...we believe the parents were Caz Martin (C.E.S.) and S. L. Phillips....who married in Freestone Co in l883. We believe other children of William and Nancy were: Isaac G. W. Martin, born in Ala in l854....known as Ike Martin. He married a Mattie (unk) and had a son, George E. Martin, born in l897. Penalope A. N. Martin, born in Ala in l852....married in Freestone Co to Alford Rainer or Raines in l872. Alford Rainer had died by l880 leaving Penalope a widow with two children....Henry Rainer born in l879 and Ella or Ellen born in l874. Nancy E. Martin, born l867 in Ala...married in Freestone Co to Davis J. Baggett in l883. Ardon or Arden Martin and Shorter Martin were two more sons of William, however we have no information. Some of these given names appear to be nick-names. Also this family apparently gave two middle names or initials to their children. Happy to exchange information with others researching this line. Also need information on other persons buried in Old Zion.
