Just want to let you all know that Helen Coldewey passed away on Friday. She's been in a nursing home for some time now. Her daughter, Mary Cornelius, is a member of this mailing list and I know you join me in wishing Mary and her family well during this difficult time. Helen was an Anton Heinsohn descendant through his son Reinhard. Her obituary follows. Rox Ann Johnson Helen M. Coldewey Victoria Advocate Online August 21, 2004 YOAKUM - Helen M. Coldewey, 83, of Yoakum, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004. She was born Sept. 25, 1920, in Moravia, to the late Joseph and Augusta Heinsohn Christen. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Yoakum. Survivors: daughters, Hildegarde Garrett of Yoakum and Mary Ann Cornelius of Oklahoma; son, Char-les W. Coldewey of Sublime; sisters, Evelyn Doubrava of Wied and Rosalie Drexler of Moulton; brother, Charlie Christen of Shiner; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: husband, Charles W. Coldewey Sr.; infant daughter; son, Lester Coldewey; sisters, Clara Zinke, Willie Mae Lewandowski, and Christina Ludwig; and brothers, Melvin Christen and Joe Christen. Visitation will begin 6 p.m. Sunday at Kubena Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, the Rev. Gary D. Goodson officiating.
