Have you been to Schulenburg? There is a Stanzel Model Airplane museum. I have not been there yet but with the museum, there appears to be a family home. I worked with Sister Michael Rose Stanzel for several years at St. Joseph High School in Victoria and she has since moved to San Antonio and works at a High School there. Are you aware of this branch of the Stanzel? I have not been in contact with Sister since she moved in 1999 or so but contacting the museum might be a lead. Sabra Sauer

Thanks for responding to my post. There were several Stanzel families in Fayette County at this time, but I have been unable to connect any of them to my particular Ferdinand Stanzel/Theresa Kuntschik family with correct names and dates. I do not know which family Sister Michael Rose Stanzel might belong to. I was hoping someone on the list might recognize an ancestor in my posting.
