Hi, everyone. The posting regarding the Killoughs and Moores reminded me that the "Ghosts and Gravestones" twilight tours of the La Grange City Cemetery are Sunday, November 7 & Saturday, November 13. At a previous tour I learned that Ira Killough was murdered in front of his wife and child by her brothers as the Killoughs returned to town from their farm. It's believed that Col. Moore ordered the killing. Kathy Carter and her staff do a fantastic job of researching various people buried in the cemetery and high school students dress in costume and tell their stories. Contact the Fayette Heritage Museum & Archives at library@fais.net for reservations which include refreshments.
