Gregory, a Confederate veteran, is buried in the Old La Grange City Cemetery (Sec. I, Lot 106). According to the 1860 census he was then 21 years of age and single and living in Fayette County (La Grange). His occupation is not easily deciphered. He appears to have born in the Indian Territory. His brother, C. W. Gregory, was then 24 years of age, married and a druggist; he and his wife, too, lived in Fayette County (La Grange). Perhaps these men are two of the children of Dr. David Gregory; if not, the names are certainly coincidental.
