H. Ledbetter and A. G. Ledbetter, both Confederate veterans, are buried in the Old La Grange City Cemetery (Lots 33 and 44, respectively, of Sec. I). At the time of the 1860 census A. G. Ledbetter was 23 years of age, and W. H. Ledbetter was 25. Both were born in Tennessee. Both appear to have been single. W. H. Ledbetter was an attorney; the occupation of A. G. Ledbetter is unknown. In 1860 both men lived in Fayette County. An A. G. Ledbetter served as SGT, 8th Regiment Cavalry (Terry's), C.S.A., and a W. H. Ledbetter served as 2LT, 9th Regiment, Texas Infantry (Maxey's), C.S.A.
