Surnames: Tupin,Nance,Steelman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mkB.2ACI/299 Message Board Post: The Tupin family intersects with the Nance and Steelman families in Texas and Indian Territory and Oklahoma. There is little genealogy research being done on the Tupin family in those areas. Later, in the 1920 and 1930's Tupin and the allied Steelman and Nance families moved to Arizona and California. I think I have seen that the correct spelling of the man's name was Pascal Tupin, but given the French Canadian accent, the sound was probably, "Poscal". If anyone knows of someone who is researching the Tupin family, I would like to get in touch with them. Nance, and Steelman "cousins" are trying to find an accurate travel timeline and genealogy for these families. There are many marriage crosses, that we can find so far. We don't have much, but would share what we do have. I found that many of a Tupin family were in Comanche County, Texas, listed on the Social Security Index from Family Search website.
