Surnames: Bittick Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mkB.2ACI/361 Message Board Post: I would like to get a photo of the tombstones of Willis Alexander Bittick and his wife Winniferd Cromwell. Winniferd died of natural causes in 1889 while her husband was shot in the neck and died two weeks later in 1901. A friend of his came up from behind and goosed him while he was washing off in a water trough. A fight erupted and other parties got involved. When Willis went for a knife, one of two "third" parties that were trying to stop the fight fired a shot that struck him in the neck. I have the newspaper clippings but do not have a photo of the large tombstone that was erected. Winnie was my Great Aunt so he was my Great Uncle. Thanks. Charles Nahlik -
