Mullin (b. late 1820s probably in Madasin county, MS) was living in Fayette County, Texas by the 1850s.... He married Miss M.C. Pettit in the late 1860s.... John W. Mullin (b. 1820s) was the son of Ira Mullin (b. 1798 in GA, died 1875 in Fayette County, Texas).... Ira Mullin had other sons: 1. Flaviers J. Mullin married Miss Sarah Palmer in the 1860s.... (Flavier J. Mullin may be Josephus Mullin who later married a Miss Melissa Xxxxx), 2. Achilles J. N. Mullins... "A.J.N. Mullin", married a Miss Nancy McVea. 3. Philander Mullin 4. Robert D. Mullin... married a Miss Mary Hubbard then a Miss A. I. Stewert. 5. Madison M. Mullin... married a Miss F.T. Blanton and then a Miss Alice Hollman. Most of these brothers served in Companies B and G of the 26th Texas Cavalry during the Civil War.... John W. Mullins married a Miss M.C. Pettit in 1868 and had children Mary, Mack and Nettie and probably other children.... Any one descended from John W.
