Hi, I normally do my "free" Texas research at the following web site: ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/tx/ The only problem is that you need to know both the county and the year. You can still do the research, but without having the county and the year (or good "guesstimates") it can be a time consuming task. If anyone knows of a "free" search for the entire state, by simply putting in a Surname and then you can find the year and the county as well, I would like to know about it. Thanks, Lana
