I understand that there is a Cunningham Cemetery in Fayette County perhaps near Winchester. Does anyone know the history of the naming of the prairie, or the Inn? Also, if anyone has listings of the names for the Cunningham Cemetery, I would surely be interested.
Mayme, I have done extensive work on the Cunninghams. My dad's mother was a Cunningham. The carpel tunnel in my left hand is acting up really bad so bear with me. Keep in mind there are two Cunningham families in Fayette Co and the other isn't related to ours...they are out of Tennessee. I done had this dispute with cousins here...even produced census showing the differneces to no avail. Anywho, James Cunningham 1st married Rebecca Fitzgerald, had 9 kids. He later, at abt. 45 in 1863, married Rebecca's sister's 17 yr. old neice by marriage, the widow Lucinda Jane Bolton Jones. James and Lucinda had 10 kids. I am '2nd family'. I got the email from Gayle about Hosea Hammon(d)(s) and deduce from that you are '1st family'. We have no Cunninghams in the cemetery of that name, they are the 'other' C family in Fayette Co. from Tennessee. James Cunningham came over in 1835 at abt. age 17. He was born 11/5/1818. As my hand allows I will send what I have. Always good to find another cousin. teresa Parrish ----- Original Message ----- From: <mkittman@earthlink.net> To: <TXFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, January 30, 2005 6:46 PM Subject: [TXFAY] Cunninghams, Cunningham Prairie and Stage Coach Inn, Cunningham Cemetery > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Cunningam, Hammond(s), Harmon, Hammon(s) > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mkB.2ACI/336 > > Message Board Post: > > I'm looking for information on the Cunningham's in Fayette County.
