Gwin seems like a good candidate for sibling. He was in Monticello, Lawrence Co., MS in 1860 and in Bogue Chitto, Lincoln Co., in 1870. Lawrence Co is next door to Lincoln Co. I don't know about the courthouse in Lawrence Co. but the one in Lincoln Co. burned and I could find no old records there some 12 years ago when I went looking. What is your source for the M. Gwin's marriage to Mrs. Lucinda Medris? Any thing other than the obit? I had a friend check the cemetery records that Sammy Tise did of Lavaca County, He showed that Mary Gwin died in August 1869. The 1870 census of Lincoln Co. MS shows that M Gwin married L ? in Nov 1869. Seems a bit soon. F. L. Wallace according to the same records was married to S. J. in Dec. 1869. The two couples were living in the same house. When I visited with Seba Julia (?) Wallace's grandchildren some years back, they knew nothing. What little I have found has been from old newspapers and such.
