    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Fisher, Blackwell Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mkB.2ACI/369.1 Message Board Post: I am the one who was confused. Thomas Dance Fisher had a son named James W. Fisher and another son named William Junius Fisher. William Junius Fisher is, of course, W. J. Fisher. He DID marry Evelyn Bomar Dycus; they DID live in Gonzales County in 1900. She applied for a Confederate pension from the state of Texas. Does anyone know if James W. Fisher died in the Civil War? He was in TX 10th Infantry Regiment, Company F. I cannot find ANY record of him other than the court cases when he was a minor, the 1860 census in Fayette County, and that he fought in the Civil War.
