It is my understanding he was one of the original Czech settlers of Fayetteville, Texas. I would like to locate pictures of him if at all possible. We do not have any pictures of my husband's paternal family and would like to have some for the album. If you know of any pictures of John Odlozelik, please e-mail them to me or contact me and inform me how to obtain them. Thank you, Rosie Odlozelik

Surnames: Tupin,Nance,Steelman Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mkB.2ACI/299 Message Board Post: The Tupin family intersects with the Nance and Steelman families in Texas and Indian Territory and Oklahoma. There is little genealogy research being done on the Tupin family in those areas. Later, in the 1920 and 1930's Tupin and the allied Steelman and Nance families moved to Arizona and California. I think I have seen that the correct spelling of the man's name was Pascal Tupin, but given the French Canadian accent, the sound was probably, "Poscal". If anyone knows of someone who is researching the Tupin family, I would like to get in touch with them. Nance, and Steelman "cousins" are trying to find an accurate travel timeline and genealogy for these families. There are many marriage crosses, that we can find so far. We don't have much, but would share what we do have. I found that many of a Tupin family were in Comanche County, Texas, listed on the Social Security Index from Family Search website. The information for the 1880 Census was found on The Family Search website. www.familysearch.org Thank you. Joy

White was born TN and wife Sarah Walker SC. They were in Monroe County MS for the 1850 census, and then showed up in Fayette County. They sold 225 acres there in 1859; I suspect this was land Sarah inherited but I can't find any record. Will have to go to LaGrange and look at the deed.

I'm 99% sure I've found his family. While scanning around Gencircles.com, I came across a Benjamin White with a 1852 probate from Fayette Co. to Lavaca. I've been visiting with the submitter and we believe it is the same person. This is the info he gave me: Isham White B. 1798 in Marion Co., SC D. 1848 in Fayette Co., TX Father: Isham White b. <1772> Mother: Cherokee b. <1776> Wife: Choctaw Marriage: ABT 1817 in SC Children: not necessarily in order James White Martha Ellender White Louisa White William C. White McCree White Richard Adolphus White Harriet A. White Charles E. White Benjamin White Franklin White Gustavus White Permilia Sophia White George W. White Jane Matilda White Some childern were born in SC, some in AL and some in TX. I did come across George W. and his family in the Fayette Co. 1860 census. The same family as you were looking for. I hope this will help. Whites are a hard line to follow because so many have the same names. I have native american in my line so I think this is a match. Also, there is a George W. White on the Dawes rolls. Keep in touch and maybe we can both benifit. Thank you, Angie Hughes
