    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Miller, Riley, Kemp Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mkB.2ACI/309 Message Board Post: This is concerning an ancestor who is African American. I hope somebody can help. I am trying to find descendants of Ellis Miller, son of Amos and Rachael Miller. Ellis was born probably in April 1852 or 1857-58 in Fayette County. His parents were probably slaves and later employees of William Hamilton Ledbetter, prominent attorney. In 1880, Ellis and his brother Marshall were field hands for Charly and Ella Clark (white) in Fayette County. In 1900, Ellis was working as a farm laborer and married to Carrie Riley (born Oct. 1863 and married Jan. 20, 1884). His previous wife, Augy Kemp (married Aug. 21, 1881) probably died. His children as listed in the 1900 census were Juinie (daughter born Feb. 1888), Lutha (son born Oct 1890), Walner (son born Nov. 1892), Leon (son born Jan 1894) and Blenda (daugher born Feb. 1897). The census was very hard to read so I had to guess on some of these names. Ellis died on Dec. 23, 1935, in Temple, Texas (Bell county). Am eager to find information. Many thanks for your time.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mkB.2ACI/155.2 Message Board Post: A Thomas C. Gregory, a Confederate veteran, is buried in the Old La Grange City Cemetery (Sec. I, Lot 106). According to the 1860 census he was then 21 years of age and single and living in Fayette County (La Grange). His occupation is not easily deciphered. He appears to have born in the Indian Territory. His brother, C. W. Gregory, was then 24 years of age, married and a druggist; he and his wife, too, lived in Fayette County (La Grange). Perhaps these men are two of the children of Dr. David Gregory; if not, the names are certainly coincidental.

Prueitt ; John Pate ; Kim Marr ; Patrica Sugarek ; Peggy Neill ; Scott Poole ; Sharla D. ; Sharon Anderson ; Susan Wolfe ; Suzanne Sanders ; todd davis ; Tracy and JD ; William Holbein Sent: Friday, July 09, 2004 9:40 PM Subject: Fw: Laughs.... . *************** There was once a great actor, who had a problem. He could no longer remember his lines. Finally after many years he finds a theatre where they are prepared to give him a chance to shine again. The director says, "This is the most important part, and it has only one line, you must walk on to the stage carrying a rose, you must hold the rose with just one finger and your thumb to your nose, sniff the rose deeply and then say the line 'Ah, the sweet aroma of my mistress.'" The actor is thrilled. All day long before the play he's practicing his line over and over again. Finally the time came. The curtain went up, the actor walked onto the stage, and with great passion delivered the line; "Ah, the sweet aroma of my mistress". The theatre erupted, the audience was screaming with laughter and the director was steaming! "You bloody fool!" he cried, "You have ruined me!" The actor was bewildered, "What happened, did I forget my line?" He asked. "No!" the director screamed, "You forgot the bloody rose!" ************* The Smiths were dining out when his wife noticed her ex-husband at the bar. "Honey," she said as she pointed the guy out, "that guy at the bar has been drinking like that since I left him seven years ago." Her husband said, "That's silly, no one cele brates that much." +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++== Subject: Lone Ranger and Tonto The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent all set up, they fell sound asleep. Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says "Kemo Sabe, look towards sky, what you see?" The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars." "What that tell you?" asked Tonto. The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute, then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Theologically, it's evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What's it tell you, Tonto?"> > Tonto is silent for a moment, then says, "Kemo Sabe, you dumb ass.Someone has stolen tent."
