My gg-grandfather's 1st wife was Rebecca Fitzgerald, sister to Obediah/Obadiah, thus dau. of Samuel and Nancy. I have some Fitzgerald info. that was sent to me and I will send straight to you Marilyn so it doesn't go through the group. I need to tidy up my info. on Family Tree Maker before I send a gedcom. A note of interest. Rebecca's and Obediah's sister, Wilmouth/Wilmanth Fitzgerald married Henry Porter Cleveland. His sister Sally's dau. (by Michael Bolton), Lucinda Jane, was my gg-grandmother. James Cunningham married, as his 2nd wife, his first wife's sister's neice by marriage. Lucinda Jane was born in Aug. 1845, a few weeks after James married Rebecca. Rebecca died in Dec. 1860, her youngest and 9th child was just 8 mos. old. In Mar. of 1863, 44 yr. old widower James Cunningham married 17 yr. widow Lucinda Jane Bolton Jones. He had 9 children with Rebecca, Lucinda a daughter by L. S. Jones. James and Lucinda had 10 children of thier own. The Cleveland connection kinda ties James' 1st wife to his 2nd, but by marriage. Hi, everyone. The posting regarding the Killoughs and Moores reminded me that the "Ghosts and Gravestones" twilight tours of the La Grange City Cemetery are Sunday, November 7 & Saturday, November 13. At a previous tour I learned that Ira Killough was murdered in front of his wife and child by her brothers as the Killoughs returned to town from their farm. It's believed that Col. Moore ordered the killing. Kathy Carter and her staff do a fantastic job of researching various people buried in the cemetery and high school students dress in costume and tell their stories.
