I have a query Susan, and hope it fits into the type that are included in the quarterly. The subject is Davis Brother's Mills. My great grandfather, Riley Cates, worked at one of the Davis Brother's Mills. As I know it there were three, at least one was near Whitewright. He probably started working there between 1885 and 1910 or so. His obituary mentioned he converted on of the mills from Ox driven to steam power. Does anyone have knowledge of the mills? David L.
