My Grandmother Tribble was born in Fannin Co. in 1894 at a place called Greens Chapel. Is there anyone that might remember where Greens Chapal was located in the county ? does it still exist ? Thanks, Dearl Scott
The county road number 2710 goes through where Greens Chapel was. The last time I was through there all of the houses were gone. That has been 5or 10 years ago. That road is west of Lake Crockett from hwy. 409 or take CR 2715 west at Selfs community and it will run into 2710 and turn right. Thanks June, For the great info on Greens Chapel. I really appreciate the map and directions I hope to get down that way later this summer. Zada TRIBBLE, nee GOLIHAR married Major Judson TRIBBLE between 1910 and 1915. Her parents were John Goilar and Emma PORTER. Emma was either half or full blood Cherokee thanks again Dearl Scott ----- Original Message ----- From: "June Hurd" <jhurd@neto.com> To: <TXFANNIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, June 18, 2002 2:12 PM Subject: Re: [TXFANNIN-L] Greens Chapel > The county road number 2710 goes through where Greens Chapel was.
