She disliked the name Augusta because she felt it was too manly and didn't care much for her middle name because of it's length...Ann was much simpler. Before her death, she requested "Gussie Lee" be placed on her gravestone - minus her middle name. (Lee was her married name when she died.) My mother and her siblings complied with her wish.
