Maybe I am confused, but I thought his wife's name was Ruth Ellen Clinkenbeard. I thought Locke had never married and was killed in a train accident after he returned from WWI. He wrote several letters to his parents looking forward to returning home, never mentioning a wife. I have a box of letters written by Eli Penwell during the Civil War, and also letters written by Locke during WWI. I don't remember him ever mentioning a wife in his letters. After his death, his mother (Ruth) was given a ring with a star on it in memory of Locke. I have that ring.
