Shirley, I looked up the name MOFIELD and came up with only one family in Texas in the 1880 census : District 72, Guadalupe, Texas page 234C Henry Mofield (no occupation listed) marr. white age 48 b. Ger./parents b. Germany Tareca Mofield wife white age 40 b. Ger/parents b. Germany. Louis Mofield, farming son single wh. age 20 b. Tx. Emma Mofield, at home, dau. single age 19 b. Tx. Matilda Mofield, at home, dau. single age 17 b. TX. Lena Mofield, at home, dau. age 14 b. Tx. Eta Mofield, at home, dau. age 12 b. Tx. Sofa Mofield, dau. age 9 b. Tx. Henry Mofield, son age 6 b. Tx. I also put the name Morfield, but none listed in Texas in 1880. I don't have any idea how close Guadalupe Co is to Fannin.
