C. L. Marley, Don't know anything about a Black family, however, my husband's great grandfather was Joe Lane. He married Sally Dillo after the death of his first wife. Is it possible that your Mary could have been a sister to Sally or Joe? Joe Lane had grandsons, named Charley and Oral. This seems like to much of a coincidence to be ignored.
