My grandfather George Clinton Beaty (who was born in Fannin County) mentioned many times that he was a cousin of the Dulaney's, However, I do not have any information on them. We are connected to the Nelms through my Great Great Grandfather Jesse G. Beaty that married Susan Nelms when they all lived in Logan County, Kentucky in 1841, The Nelms/Beaty families came to Peters Colony and then to Fannin County about 1846. I noticed that there was three Dulaney men on the 9th Texas Infantry Roster of the Confederate Army, they were Henry Dulaney age 18, was a Corporal, O. M. Dulaney, age 19, Private and Corporal, and Willis P. Dulaney, age 17, Private. All entered the army from Bonham as did the Beatys. The Nelms brothers, entered at the same time but were not in the 9th Infantry. Have you checked the book titled PLOW HORSE CAVALRY, by Robert Weddle? The Dulaneys are mentioned in it about 29 times.
