She was born Jan 1, 1840 in (unknown) Albama. Her (younger?)sister, Jane, was also born in Alabama. That's all I know and haven't been able to find anything of where she grew up. If the family moved to Tennesse, then to Texas then that would explain why. Matilda was married to Jasper Jinkins. They lived mostly in Fannin Co. except for a short time they moved to Arkansas.
