    2. Posting this in case anyone is searching this family. I am not. Just trying to be helpful. J W Roach, 78, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at his home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls, with the Rev. Earl Correll, pastor of Northside Baptist Church of Iowa Park, and the Rev. Harvey McMurry, pastor of City View Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. A son of the late Buck and Lillie Roach, he was born April 15, 1924, in Honeygrove, Texas. In 1942, he married Wanda Louise Smith in Henrietta. Mr. Roach served in the United States Army during World War II in auto maintenance while stationed in England. He was an independent car dealer and salvage dealer for fifty years. He was also preceded in death by his three sisters, Daff, Pauline and Sylvia. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Wanda; daughters, Susie Riley and Linda Shaffer, all of Wichita Falls, and Lisa Baumer and husband, Brett of Lakeside City; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jimmy Benefield of Wichita Falls and Dot Hamilton of Fort Worth. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Shaffer, Keith Shaffer, Billy Shaffer, Monty Priddy, Bobby Skinner and Brett Baumer. Visitation will be held from 6 until 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
