Yes, this is the correct family. I do have some of this same data - but was hoping to expand and locate children of Alice (Benton) Wells. Overall I am looking for ways through a brick wall: the parents of Franics Ren (Wren) Benton - which is Alice's father. He was born in Missouri 1836 and married Susan Margaret Lock in Barry CO, MO in 1859. He was in the Confederate Army - but his military records did not prove fruitful. I have taken a trip to Collin CO Texas - and rummaged through a few grave yards - but did not locate him or Susan. I have also been searching for the children of Thomas Hart Benton (yes, I am certain of the Hart). Thomas married Sallie Scott and moved to Texas. Thomas had the following children: Alice, Thelma, WIllie, Mary, Varney, JT. Alice, Thelma and WIllie were born in Texas; Mary, Varney and JT were born in Oklahoma. Are you also researching the Benton's - or just a very nice samartan??
