    3. My name isn't Tresa, but I found this in Obituaries from the Fannin County Favorite, Jan. 11. 1918 to Dec. 13 1918. May not be any help, but here it is. Paper date Oct. 17, 1918 Dead in France Saturday last Mrs. A. Bates received a letter from an officer in France notifying her that her son, James Bates, was dead. The letter gave no details. She has not yet received an official notice from the government at Washington. Paper date Nov. 29, 1918 Official Notice Mrs. A. Bates has received official notice from Washington that her son, James E. Bates, died of pneumonia on Oct. 20th. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Pantrees@cs.com> To: <TXFANNIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 05, 2002 6:11 PM Subject: Re: [TXFANNIN-L] Re: Newspaper in Trenton > Tresa, Would you mind looking up on the obits anyone named Felmet or Bates. > I sure would appreciate it. > Peggy > > > ==== TXFANNIN Mailing List ==== > Shake your family tree and watch the nuts fall! > >
