She is bur'd. under what is now Lake Texhoma and I can find no records of her new location. She gave birth to a dau. in Denison, TX in 1882, named Eursley Jane Downey. It is believed Melinda might have been connected to the Old Settlers and that she was of Cherokee descent. Her parents are supposed to be bur'd somewhere beneath main street in Dallas, TX. Any information on where to search wold be appreciated. ~ Kal
