If yes, I am searching for the sons of William Thomas who came to Fannin County from McMinn County Tennessee probably in the 1850's. The THOMAS children include Asbury, Cannady, William Darius, James Virgil, Guilford, William Harrison, B., Henry Clay, and Ransom Taylor. William Darius married five women: Elvira Matthews, Elizabeth Tilly, Eliza Anderson, Elizabeth Maker, and Mary Melissa Miles. James Virgil married Sarah Frances Cassell. James enlised for the Civil War in Fannin County: Co. B, 1st Battn. Texas Sharpshooters, CSA (Burnett's Battalion) enlisted Aug 1, 1862, Fannin Co., TX., Hope there is someone out there researching this family!
