    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1hB.2ACE/2603.1 Message Board Post: Not my line but I believe the reason you can't find Robert H. Fenner on the 1900 Census is that he died in 1892 and is buried in the Grove Hill Cemetery. Here is the link to the transcription: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txfannin/ceme-grovehill.html Fenner's in the transcription: Fenner, Infant b & d 15 Feb.1890 Fenner, Joe F. 1885-1952 Fenner, Joseph F. 20 Nov.1820-5 May 1896 Texas War of Independence Veteran member Shackford's Co.Col. Fannin Command 1836 Fenner, Mary wife of Joseph 17 Nov.1834-28 Nov.1914 Fenner, Robert H. 19 June 1857-4 Jan.1892 Fenner, William C. 24 Feb.1887-8 Sept.1888 Mary Fenner's (mother of Robert) Obit is on the site as well http://www.rootsweb.com/~txfannin/obituaries13.html Abstracted from Bonham News" 8 Dec 1914: Grandma Fenner, formerly of Bailey, died at Commerce; Sat. age 80; services : Bailey Methodist church; Rev. J.A. Gaines and pastor; buried Grove Hill; husband Joseph F. Fenner dec'd; mother of 5; 2 survive her. (She was Mary Fenner) The 1900 Census for Fannin County has the following Fenner information: Hunt, Mary F Head June 1840 Ohio Hunt, Orric M Son Sep 1886 Texas Duke, Mary F Daughter Apr 1867 Iowa Fenner, Joseph G. M GSon May 1885 Texas Fenner, Clara F GDaughter Apr 1891 Texas Duke, Lillian F G.DaughterSep 1895 Texas Based on this information, I believe Mary Duke (maiden name Hunt) was married to your Robert Fenner then married a "Duke" after Robert's death. Joseph and Clara are probably Robert's children. The 1900 Census says she had 5 children, 3 living, the 2 that were deceased are probably Fenner, Infant b & d 15 Feb.1890 and Fenner, William C. 24 Feb.1887-8 Sept.1888 bothe buried in the Grove Hill Cemetery. Hope this points you in the right direction and helps. David Womack
