I knew Josh May personally and will tell you what little I know. I think that Josh and Elizabeth only had a daughter, Elizabeth. The mother Elizabeth died and the daughter Elizabeth was reared by an aunt in Whitewright. Josh later married Martha, a widow whose last name escapes me at the moment but she published the Savoy Star newspaper for many years. Think that the D. B. Ray buried at Oakhill was from another May family of Whitewright fame - not sure but think he was brother to Gladys Ray who wrote several books on the area history. Elizabeth May Jones' daughter still lives in Savoy but think she has some memory problems - perhaps some of her family could help you. Her name is Betty Price, telephone 903-965-4135.
