My William is William A. York. I have copies of his pension application somewhere that I got from Texas couple years ago. He served the CSA in Alabama and moved to Texas after the war. He was in Hill County Tx in 1880 and Fannin Co TX in 1900. At the time of his pension application in 1899 he was pretty much disabled I think. Are the Texas death certificates being put online at footnotes? If so I need to pay their fee and sign up. If the death certificates are being put online elsewhere, what is the URL? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Suzie Henderson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, September 11, 2007 10:21 PM Subject: Re: [TXFANNIN] Oakwood Cemetery > These are my only YORK surnames so far in the Oakwood Cemetery. The death certificates ARE going online at Footnote http://www.footnote.com If you choose "view all databases" and then click on page 4 that's where you will find them. You can search for free and then wait and pay your money when they actually have his posted but I heard today that they are struggling to keep their heads up while they get this site started. It is going to be tooooooo wonderful. I went ahead and signed up to give them my vote. William is not yet in the Death Records as of this evening.
