    3. Has anyone found a gravemarker for C R LINDSEY died 1921. This was listed in a book I bought years ago. However the 1921 does not agree with census records estate settlement etc. I wonder if this was misread and should be 1920. Esther

    3. Esther, I am Suzie Henderson the "official" Oakwood Cemetery walker and indexer! I'm nearly done and then it will be posted. I have already recorded the stone of C. R. LINDSEY. It reads: LINDSEY, C. R. 18 Apr 1856 9 Jan 1921 The interment record kept by the Cemetery Association has that same date recorded. I have found a couple of instances where the stone and reality did not match..but that's how the stone reads. Photos will be posted with the transcription. 3. Engravers made mistakes sometimes on the stones, and sometimes the information the were give was not correct, this could be the case in MR. Lindsey's death dates. :) Esther Lindsey wrote: >Has anyone found a gravemarker for C R LINDSEY died 1921. This was listed in a book I bought years ago.
