    3. Ancestry.com has a JAMES LAWSON HOPE died 4/21/49, File number 25935. He is the only Hope in Fannin County or one of the surrounding counties. There is a Walter Fielder Hope that is probably Fannin that looks more like Pannin. John Wesley Hope in Denton County and a Marcia A. probably Fannin looks more like Pannin. 3. If you know someone who lives in the Dallas or Houston area and who is willing to do a look-up for you at the "main" library in either one of those cities then you'll be able to secure a copy of death certificate(s) for about a quarter plus whatever "fee" the person who looks up the certificate requests. It is my understanding that library personnel are restricted from mailing out copies of death certificates. If there was an obit in the Bonham paper than you should be able to get an obit from the Bonham library. Depending on where the person lived in Fannin County there may not have been an obit in the Bonham newspaper but one may have appeared in in Sherman, Denison, Whitewright, and/or Honey Grove newspapers. The Leonard newspapers carried obits, but a fire destroyed the newspaper collection for issues before ca 1951 or 1952. Another possibility for obits in Leonard area is the Huntsville newspaper. In Pecan Gap area I've had luck with the Delta County newspaper. I've also had luck with obits in the Honey Grove area appearing in the Paris newspaper. Obits for Ravenna, Mulberry, Savoy and Ector often appeared in the Denison Herald. I've also found some 1930 obits for Leonard and Trenton in the Sherman newspaper.
