    3. Hi, I am new to the list. I need some information, if someone would be so kind. I am trying to find a town, now long gone, named Omahall. I found it in Fannin County once on a very old map, and I think the map got thrown out. Now, Omahall does not appear at all on the new ones. Does anyone know about this town? My grandmother says she was born there, on her Social Security application. Her father was Sam Burns and mother Mary Harriet or "Hattie" Dean. They were married in Fannin county May 18, 1873. Hattie's family was from MS, Sam was in the Cival War in MO, stated he was 18 (making date of birth about 1846) in LaClede County, MO. I can find no other source of information for the Burns family in MO. His full name was Samuel A. Burns, as stated in Hattie's widow application for pension records. No clue as to what the A. stood for. Anyone know about Omahall? How about the Burns family? Thank you for anything that might help! Peggy

    3. There is a site called Handbook of Texas that lists many old towns. Try it. 3. Peggy, I would be helpful if you also gave the name of your grandmother and her birthdate.
