Cindy, I will add to this with information pertaining to Lamar County. There won't be an obit in The Paris News or even an article, due to the 1916 fire of Paris, burned the newspaper office down. There are only newpapers from the 1840's-1860's for The Northern Standard out of Clarksville, Texas and from post fire 1916 to current for The Paris News.
