http://www.co.washington.ar.us./Information/Chronicle/ChronicleDocumentSearch.asp?S=Y Laverne, look at this sight in Washington AK. put Blair, Hiram in the grantor. The deed will show him and Sarah as his wife and that they are living in Fannin co. TX., and are selling there AK.land. Than go back and mark the grantee, you will find two records of land he purchased. Any one who has people who live or lived in Washington Co. AK. check out your names. You may be in for a surprise. I have found over 70 records so far where they bought & sold land. http://www.co.washington.ar.us./Information/Chronicle/ChronicleDocumentSearch.asp?S=Y Now Suzie, When are the Fannin Co land records going to be on line. : ) LOL Fannin Co Site is one of my favorite ones, I have gotten a lot of records from it. Do you have reason to believe they were in Fannin County before or after that date? If you do not have access to the census records and have not seen the 1860 census, I'm happy to send that page to you.
