I agree with Beverly. Back in that time frame there were many "poor houses" and they were registered that way (especially in Texas). I would call it what it is to avoid confusion. Just look at how many times you know what you are looking for only to find it in an unlikely place under an unlikely title. Just my 2 cents worth.
