I'm afraid I don't really know anything about the Wests. Vannie died when my grandmother was only 4. I got the impression that they didn't have much contact with the Wests, because the stories I heard from my grandmother about her childhood were mainly about being raised by her sister. I had hopes that I might be able to get some information from my aunt who is still living. I visited her last weekend and I don't think I'll be able to get much useful information from her because she has Alzheimer's Disease. If I learn anything, I will let you know.
