    3. Karen: I have never done any research in Alabama because my Pritchett's (Joshua Daniel Pritchett) lived in Brunswick, then Pittsylvania co., VA. In Sept 1857, Joshua's widow, Eliza Inge, took 12 of her 14 children and joined a wagon train to come to Texas. There were 12 other families in the train and they spent the next three months traveling on animal trails to arrive in Savoy and Bells, Texas, in late December 1857. She rented a huge house on 450 acres in Grayson county, TX, from a member of the Dugan family who previously settled the area. Eliza and her family became members of the Virginia Point Methodist Church and the family has expanded from there over the next 150 years. My husband and I were married in the church in Sep 1996, and a memorable service was held at her grave behind the church following the wedding ceremony. All my family from the Dallas area were in attendance which gave them a chance to become acquainted with a bit of their history. Eliza and Joshua were my Great, Great Grandparents. Their parents were Joshua D. Pritchett and Elizabeth Cousins in Brunswick, VA. I will keep your email and if I find an extention of this family into Alabama, I will email you. I've found the Pritchett family difficult and intriguing to follow and often mysterious. they often clustered together with life-long friends who were witnesses to deeds, wills, etc. I would recommend paying close attention to their travels with the Pritchetts. I wish you the very best in your research. 1. [TXFANNIN] Blair
    2. Suzie and Joyce, Thank you for your help. Yes, Hiram and Sarah came to Texas in the 1840's. According to Probate Records form Johnson County, the acquired land in Grayson, Fannin, Tarrant and Johnson Counties. They settles near Rock Creek, Johnson County in 1853. Hiram died September 15, 1864 , and is buried on the property. I have never been able to see the cemetery as it is on private land. Joyce, thank you so much, I tried for years to get Land Record from Arkansas but had no luck. I have information stating that one son, Jasper "Green"Washington Blair, returned to Grayson Coutny in 1867, then to Fannin County until returning to Johnson County in 1877. Again, thank you for the information. Laverne in Odessa
