I know her father was Henry Luther Trigg or HL Trigg who lived maybe around Pear Valley, Texas. He married Doris Cravey, my grandmother.(daughter of Benjamin Franklin Cravey and Cora Seitz Cravey) They had one child, Mary Gail Trigg b. about 1932 in Pear Valley. HL died about 20 years ago in New Mexico. He had a brother James who lived in Corpus and a sister Flora Joy ( I think Joy was last name). She died in a nursing home about 15 years ago near Brady. This is the hard one for me because I know so little, thank you Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Anna Louise (Marks) Cooper (17 Dec 1913 - 7 Jul 1972) proves to be very challenging! Her husband, Lonnie, witnessed the death certificate but I have yet to find them as a couple or any birth record. Guessing you have an abundance of Information on Gertrude? The eldest sibling, Charlie, must have died young? He was born about 1899-1900. Marks(28) married four years to Lucille Frasch(22). Uncertain about his middle name? He's identified on some birth records as Albert Elroy and Albert E. Marks. That census family included children: Albert M.(2 3/12) and Mary Lou(8/12) plus inlaws: Walter B. Kalps(42), Emma Kalps(38), and Clarence Frasch(24). Children born after the 1930 census included: Elizabeth Emma, Charlotte Christeen, Catherine Yolanda, and Linda Jo. 3. Very Interesting. I am an old west Texas gal, originally from the Lubbock area. I have heard about dowsing for water all my life, although I have never seen anyone do it, but have never heard about anyone using it to find graves. Next time we go up that way, I plan to try it, even tho Monkstown Cemetery is all marked now. Someone from the state came an found the graves for us. But it will still be interesting to try. Thanks for educating me and I am sure a bunch more today. 3. Suzie, can you tell us how to tell age and sex? We will be going back up to the old Monkstown Cemetery soon and this would be helpful. Of course a child's grave would be smaller, but sex???? The state has equipment that can tell if there is a grave in certain locations so in our case they put up a white cross for each "unknown" grave. Nancy P.S. I know that first question may sound funny. Yes, I know how to tell sex and approx age, but not of the dead. You are just more likely to received more informed assistance by sticking to the topic of the board. Don't worry. We were all new once and made our share of mistakes. Your last two questions were answered in the Texas Death Records at: http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#start which also has lots of useful databases. You might try poking around in there for some of your answers. You might also check out http://www.usgenweb.org. 3. These ladies told me to be prepared to mark flags with A-M (Adult-Male), C-F (Child-Female) etc.... I can understand the concept of locating a burial but I'm stunned to learn that the rough age and sex can be determined. There were 122 named burials at St Mark Cemetery listed on the original TXFannin site. As of this morning we are up to number 260 just from locating death certificates and obituaries for unmarked burials. We are excited to be able to assist the Cemetery Association in finding the location of bodies even if not the identities.
