Well, aren't you a smarty! I've always made the distinction that an infant was under 2 years and a child 2+ years.... but, to be honest that was just my internal definition and nothing official. I had not considered the possibility of an 8 year old infant... but I'll go with your definition and the photograph of the stone! Suzie, I do not want to come across as a SMARTY, but, an Infant is also described as a young child, or a minor of which each would be descriptive of this one. Hoping someone on the list will know who the Wright husband was for her (excuse the unintentional pun). She was the d/o Andrew J. and Frances Overline McCravey both from GA and farmed in Hunt and Fannin Co. The family appears in the 1910 census on Arledge Ridge Rd. I found Francis E.'s death cert on the LDS site where she's listed as Eva F. Wright. Now if I just knew who her husband was.................

It was my understanding that Adarina, or Rena, as she was known, died in Apr. 1891. However, the TN Archives just sent me a response that says they have no record of her dying between 1890-1892. Her youngest child was born in 1889, so perhaps she died in childbirth. I will be checking this. If anyone happens to have a more definite date, I'd appreciate the information. Just above the map you can "click to see a larger view" which will will give you a picture of the county with Monkstown marked to show you where it is in the overall county. Just above that, is a link to "Map all Fannin Cemeteries" which will take you off site to a Google Map of all cemeteries. (Actually, it is only those we have gotten to in the last couple of years and taken new gps coordinates.) The Cemeteries are listed in alpha order. Just click the link for Monstown. From this map you can ask directions from any town or location to get driving directions. I have photographs of most of the markers remaining in the cemetery, but 144 unmarked graves have been identified in the cemetery by underground radar, so most graves are unmarked. The Monkstown Cemetary may be hard to get to. Take highway 100 north out of Honey Grove approx. ten miles. Watch for a sign that reads Monkstown cemetery We have a group who has restored the old cemetary and have marked every grave, even though we do not know who is buried in them. We went up there to do our annual cleaning in the spring, however the cemetary was under water and the road to it had been washed out. We ate lunch at a church, visited, and came home. don't know if they have repaired the road or not. Don't know what condition the cemetery is in either.
