The Kidd's are my relatives and I was curious as to how you are related to them. Right now I can't tell you any more about Maggie. I just moved and most of my records are still packed. As soon as I "find" them, I will check for more info. Don Rubarts
My husbands Grandmother is Liberty Kidd Precure, her father was Virgil Allen Precure who married Anna Pauline Wolff his father is John Allen Kidd who married Maggie Underwood (and two other women I don't have their names at hand right now) his father is James Kidd...I have a bunch more but it isn't all typed up right now. I am looking for any information on Maggie Underwood who married John Allen Kidd 5/21/1891 in Fannin County, Texas. We have quite a bit of info on The Kidd side but have been unable to find any info on Maggie Kidd other than she died in Bryan Coutny, OK in 1898 leaving John with three small children. I am interested in finding her parents, date and place of birth. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance Paula Precure __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I have a gr uncle Kyle E WILSON that passed away in Ravenna, Fannin Co, Texas 6 Dec 1978, I would very much appreciate a OBIT look up if any out there would do this for me. I just found out where he died... THANK YOU Rosalie Harnden Central Oregon..
Information I found doing research in Fannin and Grayson Counties indicated my great grandfather UJ 'Riley' Cates worked for the Davis Brothers Mills. The time period would have been between 1886 and 1910. In his obit it is mentioned he changed one of the mills from Ox driven to steam powered. Does anyone have information about the mills? David Every day is a good day.
Hi. I am not a Greenlee researcher but noting that he worked at a mill interested me. My great grandfather, UJ 'Riley' Cates worked for Davis Brothers Mills around 1886 to early 1900's. Roxana: Are you sure the spelling was PRICKETT? My family name is Pritchett and I've seen it spelled every way imaginable including this way. My GGrandfather, Joshua D. Pritchett, was a member of the 9th Texas Infantry during the Civil War and there are several spellings of his last name on the various roll cards including this one. Let me know. They then arrived in Fannin Co., TX (Honey Grove) around 1846. Eli had two brothers, Jacob and Madison. Jacob married Barbara Ramsey. It is believed Madison never married. Eli and Jane had several children, one named Isaac, who I believe was my great-great-grandfather; unknown name of his wife. I think he was killed in the Civil War in Illinois in 1866. Isaac was the father of Melissa Elizabeth Josephine Prickett, who married Thomas Willard in Ft. Worth TX around 1877. I believe Jane had a sister by the name of Martha Veal Ventioner. Melissa had a cousin by the name of Donnie Nance, who married James Ventioner. Any information anyone might have on these families would be appreciated. ==== TXFANNIN Mailing List ==== Your listowner Susan Hawkins & she can be reached at owner-TXFANNIN@lists.rootsweb.com

I believe Henry Boone with wife Mary Barbara Rice have been correctly identified as parents of Joseph R. Boone who died in Fannin Co., TX 10-3-1899. Anyone interested in this newly discovered information can contact me at ruthwalsh@excite.com -- or if the spam copy stops your email to that address then an alternate address is rawalshusmc@yahoo.com. The names of a Henry Boone b. 1793 and Mary Boone b. 1795 appear in the family Bible of Joseph R. Boone and Virginia E. M. Crenshaw. Newly discovered information has identifried a Henry Boone b .8-6-1793 in PA and wife Mary Barbara Rice b. NJ 3-1-1795 had 3 children. One of those was a Joseph R. Boone who, in census data, fits the description of "our" Joseph R. Boone. The census data, as well as other data on Joseph R. Boone's parents and siblings, will be shared with anyone who writes.
