Do any of you Richardson researchers know of a MYRTLE RICHARDSON that married a TOM BRIAN in Fannin County May 14, 1911? They are my grandparents that I did not ever have the privilege of meeting. One was full blood Cherokee, unknown which. One or both died at a relatively young age in 1920 and my mother was raised by her Uncle LOUIE J. KING. Thanks, Armond Beaty

You mentioned he had a son named Alonzo called "Lonnie". My grandfather was Alphonso called "Phonie" who had 3 children James, Dorthy and my father Joe (born 1925) all born in Ladonia. Alphonso moved to Breckenridge TX. I wonder if there is a connection? I can't get any farther than William Wallace. My father says he had two wives and was a farmer in and is buried in Ladonia. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I am also looking for information on a Fannin County doctor-Franklin Talbott. I realize these may not have been degreed doctors as ours are now, but may have just practiced medicine as a trade. Is there anywhere to look, for information on doctors in the 1800 and early 1900 time frame? ----- Original Message ----- From: <SHIRLBROWN@prodigy.net> To: <TXFANNIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 25, 2002 9:42 AM Subject: [TXFANNIN-L] CROMWELL/REDMAN Families, Ragsdale TX. 1870/90 > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: CROMWELL/REDMAN > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1hB.2ACE/1395 > > Message Board Post: > > Looking for my GGrandfather John Cromwell, according to Civil War letters he lived in Ragsdale/Monktown, Fannin Co., TX. d. 1890. A big THANK YOU again to everyone in the Fannin Co. Genealogical Society who helped me finally contact Ruth Smith, who kept my prescription glasses for me (lost at the last meeting)! That includes Julia Gatchel, Mary Melugin, Mary Larman, Marilyn Garrett, and finally Ruth and Bennie Smith, who met me today in order to return my glasses. Hats off to the nice, friendly, and helpful group of people in the Fannin Co. Genealogical Society! Sincerely, Mary Ann Hoppe

Pardon this diversion from List objectives, but I left my prescription sunglasses at the Tuesday, May 21, Fannin County Gen. Scty. meeting at the LDS church south of Bonham. I have not been able to learn the name of the helpful person who took my glasses home with them. If anyone knows whom that might be, please let me know. I have already contacted Mary Melugin and Mary Larman, but have been unable to reach Marilyn Garrett or Ruth Smith. I understand one of them may know where my glasses are. I am unable to get a phone number for Ruth Smith. Thank you very much! Mary Ann Hoppe McKinney (214) 726-0586

In reference to the meeting tonight: Would someone attending ask Mr. Atnip if he knows anything about 'The Davis Brother's Mills'? My great grandfather's obit indicated he worked for the Davis Brother's Mills. The time period my great grandfather, U. J. Cates, worked there would have been between 1886 and 1910. The obit also stated he helped convert one of the mills from Ox driven to steam power. Another question for him would be if he knows if the founder of Campbell Foods/Soups was from that area? thanks for your help, David Cates Every day is a good day.
The 6-29-1945 obituary of Marion Thomas Blanton names his survivors. Among them was a daughter, Mrs. Jack Murray. Does anyone have any information about Jack Murray and his wife whose maiden name was Blanton?
