Some of whom lived in Lamar, Fannin, Hopkins, Hunt and other counties of Texas. My ancestor was JAMES MARTIN BOSWELL,originally from GA. I know he and family were on the 1880 Fannin county census; and that he died in Hopkins county in 1905. They seemed to move about alot, and I am wondering if they were in Fannin county about the late 1890's. Would like to compare notes with other researchers following this line.

yes and they are on microfilm. You can borrow them from the state library website, check the newspaper page for that or view the microfilms at the Sam Rayburn Library. The last time I was there they did not have a microfilm copier so it may not be copyable. The wedding annoucments will be hidden in a little column somewhere., they only made special articles for rich folks, but the general public got mentions in the various community columns. Mary, do you have the 1870 census for Fannin County also? If you do can you look for any Slater's for me? This last one was mine, the J. B. Slater. If he isn't in the 1870 then maybe I need to check Mississippi. My grandfather George Clinton Beaty (who was born in Fannin County) mentioned many times that he was a cousin of the Dulaney's, However, I do not have any information on them. We are connected to the Nelms through my Great Great Grandfather Jesse G. Beaty that married Susan Nelms when they all lived in Logan County, Kentucky in 1841, The Nelms/Beaty families came to Peters Colony and then to Fannin County about 1846. I noticed that there was three Dulaney men on the 9th Texas Infantry Roster of the Confederate Army, they were Henry Dulaney age 18, was a Corporal, O. M. Dulaney, age 19, Private and Corporal, and Willis P. Dulaney, age 17, Private. All entered the army from Bonham as did the Beatys. The Nelms brothers, entered at the same time but were not in the 9th Infantry. Have you checked the book titled PLOW HORSE CAVALRY, by Robert Weddle? The Dulaneys are mentioned in it about 29 times.
