    1. [TXFANNIN-L] Re: LAST WILL OF WILLIAM ANDREW COWAN
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1hB.2ACE/1129.1.1 Message Board Post: Betty, My grandfather William Andrew Cowan is buried in Indian Creek Cemetery, Fannin Co. TX. I don't know what became of his brother James but his brother John did live with William and his wife Martha until he died as a young man, not much more than a teenager. Their mother, according to W.A. Cowan's death certificate was Mary Moreland and father was Marion Cowan. They were from TN then GA before coming to TX in 1870. They, William, James and John were in Farmersville, Collin County, in the household of an Ann Reed/Reid (have no idea who she was) on the 1870 census. I sure wish I could help more, I wish I knew more! I have yet to find Marion Cowan anywhere. Good luck, Linda

    3. The information will be on the Fannin County Genealogical Society Page next week: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txfcgs/ We are having to hike the rate a bit because we were paying for the overcost out of our own pockets. a week from Tuesday is when our next meeting and elections are and they will set a rate. It is a very good publication I think and we pack it full. I wrote several pieces for the June quarterly. So much to put in there! I appreciate all those that sent queries and will annouce it again for the next quarterly. Keep in mind anyone who wants to write about their family for the net or the quarterly can. Queries are free too. If you send anything for the net though take out the living people's details for privacy and make sure I know what goes to the quarterly and what goes to the web. The quarterly is full now and sent to the printer so anything left will go into the next one. Susan "Connie B. Moulder" wrote: > > I am sorry, but I can not figure out how to subscribe.
